General Information: This competition will be held in accordance with Skate Canada Rules unless otherwise specified, and is open to any amateur figure skater in good standing with Skate Canada. Please remember to check the Skate Canada Northern Ontario Website for new information on events.

Registration: Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. on December 15, 2016.
All registration will be online through Uplifter. Registration will close at the deadline.

Acceptance of entries after the deadline is at the discretion of the Technical Representative/Committee and will be charged a $50 late fee, payable online prior to the start of the competition. Only late entries authorized by the committee will be accepted. Please check all spelling and capitalization as the information you provide will be used to create the entry lists.
Qualifications: Test and age qualifications will apply as of November 1, 2016
Refunds and Withdrawals: A full refund will be given for any canceled category. If an entry withdraws prior to the deadline, a refund less an administrative fee of $25 will be granted. No refunds will be issued after the deadline.
On-Site Registration: All competitors are required to register at least 1 hour prior to your event. All skaters must report to the Ice Captain one hour before the scheduled event. If you are skating in the first event of the morning, please report to the Ice Captain ½ hour before your scheduled event.
All coaches are required to register at time of arrival. (Leaving a cell number would be appreciated.)
Event Specifications: Skaters are permitted to “skate up” one level – they can enter one level above the level they are actual qualified to skate or skate at the level for which they are qualified, but not both.
STAR 7& 9 – “Short Programs”: Skaters will be allowed to enter one of these events in addition to their Free Skate event.
Pre Juvenile and Juvenile skaters as well as STAR Skaters may compete in these events.
The Technical Representative and Host Committee may combine events where there are fewer than three entries or one event has insufficient entries to hold the event. Interpretive events will permit coed competition. The Host Committee reserves the rights to categorize groups and to limit the number of entries in any event
Music: Compact Discs. Two (2) clearly labeled (Master and Copy) compact discs in cases must be registered at the music registration desk by the skater (not coach) at least one hour prior to the event. The by copy CD is to held by the coach at rink side.
Planned Program Content Sheet: For all events that require submission of Planned Program Content (PPC) sheets (STAR 5 Free skate and above), all PPC sheets (both the Short and Free Program) MUST be submitted to the Music Registration desk at least 2 hours prior to your event.
